High in the mountains of La Paz, Marcala is one of Honduras’s most celebrated coffee-growing regions, known for its cool climate, fertile soils, and generations of dedicated coffee producers. It is also home to the first protected coffee Denomination of Origin in Honduras and Central America—a distinction recognizing the special connection between Marcala’s landscape and its coffee.
Our medium roast highlights the warm, comforting side of this remarkable region, with baker’s chocolate sweetness, smooth vanilla, and a gentle hint of cardamom. Balanced and quietly distinctive, it is an approachable everyday coffee with just enough spice to keep each cup interesting.
We roast the coffee every Thursday and mail out Friday. Orders must be placed by 9 pm Wednesday evening in order to ship out that Friday. Any orders placed after that will be mailed out the following week.
